Wanted: Columbia Athletic Clubs (CAC) has three health club locations and had three separate websites that they believed were confusing and did not cater to the sophisticated and technology-accustomed customer profile of their eastside patrons. When Monster Tamer Web Services was brought in, club ownership and management were frustrated with their current web development vendor. The project of building a new website was a year past the projected deadline and significantly over budget. Promises had been made that were not kept. Trust had been damaged. Communication was nearly non-existent.
Provided: Understanding the experience CAC was having Monster Tamer realized that trust had to be established right away and that had to happen with abundant communication and full transparency into daily activities. Monster Tamer established working documents in Google Apps that could be shared amongst all involved, in real-time, and which allowed CAC to constantly see how the project was progressing. In addition to shared real-time working documents and daily conference calls, weekly reporting and invoicing were established to keep costs closely in-tow with work performed, and CAC from feeling extended and vulnerable. The new website was completed, tweaked, tested, taken live, and is now a functional tool operationally while reflecting the high-end brand that Columbia Athletic Clubs represents in the community.
